Description The Tax Planning Manager position is responsible for developing the improvement, alignment, simplification, implementation and standardization of tax planning. Responsibilities will be to perform special projects and assigned analysis; will interact with other business leaders to align on strategy; will identify, analyze, develop, recommend, present, and help implement solutions with respect to assigned analysis. Responsibilities: * Analyze and interpret tax law and regulations, identify tax saving opportunities and communicate tax planning ideas to management * Develop and implement tax planning strategies * Research and understand the technical merits of planning and transfer pricing positions and ensure preparation of supporting memos (technical, FIN 48, etc.) as required * Understand changes in tax laws and regulations and be a subject matter expert with respect to GILTI, FDII, and Subpart F * Research current and pending tax legislation to assess potential impacts to VS&Co., including modeling current and proposed tax legislation and tax positions * Serve as a resource to other Tax Associates and members of the VS Co.'s Finance team as needed * Collaborate with various functions to ensure compliance with tax regulations and provide advice and guidance to management and other functions * Directly support AVP, Planning & Transfer Pricing to lead completion of special projects and analyses as necessary; keep projects on schedule and communicate project status, challenges and recommend solutions to Tax Department leaders * Maintain the official corporate organizational structure and accurately publish quarterly the corporate organizational structure reflecting current company code additions and changes and distribute across internal and external customer base * Support international corporate structure by performing forecasting, long range plan development and functional analysis as needed * Work with personnel in Legal, Treasury, Accounting, International teams, and external advisors on restructuring and other planning/special project matters Qualifications * CPA or law degree is highly preferred * Minimum years of experience 3-5 years is desired * Experience in public accounting is highly preferred * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Project management skills and proven ability to multi-task within a collaborative and fast-moving environment * Proven ability to identify and drive process improvements #LI-Remote #LI-DS1 An equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate in hiring or terms and conditions of employment because of an individual s race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, sexual orientation, pregnancy, genetic information, marital status or any other protected category recognized by state, federal or local laws.
